Chop. Aku lupa tarikh aku pergi Genting ni. Tapi sumpah penat sebab hari sebelum tu aku pergi #OctTwtFest. Tidur pula macam tak tidur malam tu sebab semua member ada. Bangun pun awal. Gerak dari UM pun awal.

Literally forgot motif pergi ke Genting?
It was a plan made by the Urban Planners student of UM. Just a simple outing with them. The initial plan sebenarnya aku memang tak join langsung benda ni sebab I was quite busy during the weekend. Tapi with much considerations and persuasions by my friends... Aku pun join lah. Just to let if off for a day. Or probably for 2 days because of the #OctTwtFest. Non-stop leisure time.

To plan this field trip is not easy as it thinks lah. Time and different opinions, different minds. It's hard to converge it to one point of decisions. The values of give and take maybe made it as a lubricant. LOL

Bought around 30 tickets to Genting. RM47 each for outdoor theme parks only. Round trip including shuttle busses and cable car. Excluding food lah of course. Entire journey was really a roller coaster. Bus from KL Sentral I didn't really enjoyed that much sebab tidur. As I said... Penat dek #OctTwtFest punya event the day before.

Sebenarnya..... I have this Acrophobia phobia. Naik cable car. Literally my life was on the edge! Can't imagine how scary the ride is. Die. Die. This first timer guy. Not really but inside out I was death.

Outdoor theme park was a hell experienced. Roller Coaster, Space Shot, Go Kart.. Macam semua juga lah kitorang try. Cuma aku taklah semua. Busy makan. Haha.

Sumpah aku penakut. Macam semua benda aku naik nak cabut nyawa aku. But the adrenaline rush tu yang buat kita pumped up to want more. Kalau bukan sebab Syahirah Awang, aku tak naik benda tu semua. Dia yang encourage untuk pergi Genting dan naik benda-benda Final Destination-ish tu. Terharu kejap. So for the first timer, pardon and excuse me for the cowardliness.

★★★★★ Aku rate 5 bintang boleh trip ni? Minus the part, Bieber tertinggal dekat Genting, time tu semua dalam Cable car turun dari Genting. Sorry Bro.

So how do I start this post?

Sebenarnya aku macam malas lah nak update blog ni. Macam dah hilang seri lepastu otak aku macam dah blur dengan pengolahan ayat.

#OctTwtFest was the major turn on event last month. It's stands for October Twitter Meet Up (kot?). Event ni sebenarnya is for all the Twitterholics in twitter. Since you may want to know that I am the saddest person on earth that I made up to 27000th tweets and counting.

Tweet punya tweet. The information spread really fast until member-member semua cakap nak pergi event ni. Sounds more interesting when it was held at Digi HQ Shah Alam attended by many of local celebrities with tons of exciting activities during the meet up.

Drove 4 cars to the HQ and yes we managed to get lost (Walau ada #aipedtu kan? - #Unmention. Haha) magic happens, sampai pun ke lokasi kejadian. Signing up for the event with long Qs before collecting the official tshirt of #OctTwtFest at @ziccotees booth.

Apa jelah korang buat kat situ? - Well we took pictures, having some funs meeting up new people and local celebrities, devouring free cakes, watching Altimet and Joe Flizzow performs.

Not to mention we also broke the Guinness World Records for the biggest twitter meet up event in the world! + Unlocking the Epic Super Swarm Badge on Foursquare. (Should I put that on my resume?)

That is one of the best moment so far. I would to thanks @ashrafzul @nazmiazimazmi for coming down here from Melaka. @najashark all the way from Pahang & @aimanfaeiz from Penang.

To this date, total of two projects that I've joined since enrolling here. The first one was Festival Konvokesyen Universiti of Malaya; being one of the committee member ensuring the smooth running of the event. Yes, I hate it. I hate that project so badly. The event was great and fun but not the work part. What happen to the word "teamwork"? Gone and in fact that is what hate the most for a week. Gahd bless I survived and made it through.

The second project was under my residential college. Managed to get a spot in one of the committee member of Friendship International Networking and appointed as the Head of Technical Support Biro. The event was merely simple. Indonesian cultural students went to UM and we as the front men will be guiding them throughout this whole event; An event under the UM Cultural Centre (Zapin Melayu Selat Melaka- Selat Makassar). A cultural showcase of both country, Malaysia & Indonesia in captivating audience with their arts of dance.

Above all, I've learned through this experience.

Looking forward for another projects!

Sorry I haven't blogging that because of studies. And hereby I shall begin my senseless rant about the meanderings of the newest freshie in UM.

Urban & Regional Planning, that is what written on my offer letter few months ago. Now, after a month studying and doing assignments, classes, lectures in this course ; first thing pops out of my mind is "I'm in it!". Bagi aku sebagai budak first year literally (second year secara zahirnya di UM) this enduring journey of being a planner is not much difficult as it today, but i'm preparing for the worst in the next few semesters or so.

Studio to Planning, Introduction to Planning, IT in Planning, legal studies and some other university courses that we will learned in this semester. Introduction to Planning to me is quite interesting because we're learning on how Malaysian structure of planning is. Not to mention early urbanization process in some parts of the world too. Studio to Planning is much of a love and hate relationship. Kalau ada assignment draftsmanship , that will be a total chaos for all. Kalau takda, just duduk lepak dalam studio.

Every details of my life here pun aku malas nak tulis, but then the most important thing is, when you're giving your full hearted commitment, you shall prevail regardless it is easy or not. Nobody said it was easy but in the end i truly believe that one day you're going to say "This is what I want to be"

Basically, being here is fun but it comes with a price.

Genting class trip this weekend and Melaka trip next month. Proposed class trip to Cambodia or Vietnam next year or whenever . Don't you feel awesome of being here?

I'm in Brunei Darussalam. Home of the bless and rich Malay people. Lol. Seriously all I can see the highways here are big cars and big motorbikes. These rich people know how to spent their money on to right?.

Upon arrival here from Labuan, my family and I had an iftar at Jerudong Park and Country Club. Only $7 per person buffet. I am not fancy on buffet. My tummy is not big enough to fit in all the foods.

So my sisters and I went for a walk around the park. Bringing back our childhood memories because this place used to be our playground when my father works in Brunei long time ago. The last time I went here was probably during my primary school years. Now I feel old reminiscing back that time. Everything here is preserved of what should be preserved. Nothing change that much except that this time there's an entering fees. Long time ago people here so rich that they made this amusement park for FREE!

Lessons I learned in Labuan.

Planned to pick up my passport yesterday but ended up being late. Apa macam ni bro?

So, I ended up sungkai at KFC with 10 other friends. Never knew that my juniors & teachers from SM Sains Labuan also are joining stomping the KFC yard for their iftar. Function habis semalam. Malu segan pun ada juga.

The best part was everything was reunited. These people semua kawan-kawan aku dari sekolah tadika, sekolah rendah,sekolah menengah, classmate, dormate semua pun boleh. The circles is very complicated I reckon. One thing that drew me to these friends was my involvement in the local schools. With no more than 5000 students in my school year (the sum up of all the schools here) ((I think so)), I can't be too choosey about who I want to play with. I can't limit my interactions to people within my own religious domination, salary range, or even education level. We are connected to each other.

Dia ni kenal dia ni, lepastu dia ni pula kenal dia time sekolah menengah which undoubtedly aku kenal time sekolah rendah, lepastu aku pindah sekolah aku kenal dia ni pula, lepastu time matriks dia kenal pula kawan aku dekat sekolah lama ni. The art of networking.

Disenchanting about living here? When you act up (in public or not as much in public). Because here your behaviour surely have been reported to your parents. And then people would remember it for a very, very long time and labeled for our own mistakes.

Living in a small town we have made strong, enduring childhood friendships.I learned that a person living in Labuan doesn't have the same degree of anonymity as I does in the burbs. And with that reality, comes some important life lessons.

Some of Your Best Friends Aren't At All Like You.

First, let me show you my wonderful schedule.

A few left weeks before the enrollment starts.I over analyze every single programme stated above because I'm scared what will happen if I'm not prepared for it. Luckily, Haluansiswa PASUM had prepared me earlier for this. I hope so. Apa aku cakap ni? Kejap prepare, kejap belum prepare? wteves dude.

The true story is I am 75% ready for it. Medical check-ups, documents and forms, 3427 million passport pictures all are done except the Haluansiswa fees and study loan/scholarship. Will settle the fees by next week but regarding the study loan? I didn't apply anything! PTPTN pun aku persetankan and the due date was yesterday so no time to apply any. But Shahril said there's another application opens on September. Better luck next time.

Ladies and gents, Haluansiswa UM is the most dreadful orientation ever.Just look at the schedule! I am expecting the worst for this. 5 days of carrying "trust" items (umbrella, water bottle, beg, tupperware and few others) dragging all that thing to DTC and where ever you go. Eh macam boot camp sial. (It's one of the task). Plus some other traditions such as the cheering; please take a time to watch the video. Amusing

I am aware of that and yes thank you for reminding me from time to time. I am not even sorry when I skipped most of it during the PASUM Haluansiswa. I do regret nothing. But this time I shall prevail. Hereby, I am 100% committed with the programme and I will make things easier for the Pembantu Mahasiswa Sentral and also to my college; 7th Residential College (Kolej Kediaman Za'ba)

Speaking of my residential college, I am no longer in 12th Residential College (Royal College) which I stayed a year ago. Supposedly I am wanting to stay in that college again, but for some reason I think being placed here in 7th is a good start for me not socializing more and start continue focusing on my studies. 12th is just to open for me. No gates and no curfew. Young-bloods what do you expect? Looking at the bright side of staying here, I can curb some of that despite major flaws of the amenities in 7th. (I think so) ((I'm just lowering my expectation))

I can't recall anything inside the plane. All what was that I slept the whole journey because I'm lucky enough to be seated on an empty row. You don't know how I love sleeping inside a plane. Probably the most tiring flight ever as soon as the seat belt alarm goes off, straight 2 and a half hours of conquering the space. Jet-legged

Here I am, safely arrived in Labuan after two weeks of holidays in Penang & KL. Spending most of the Ramadan month there. The first week I was in Penang and stayed at my friends house. (Ajim; refer the picture above). Life was very simple, never missed terawih every night. We went on masjid tour with different masjid check-ins.

"Penang has the best foods in Malaysia" reckoned by most Malaysians and I have no doubt about it. Ajim bought me from the best Char Kuey Teow and Nasi Kandaq in town to the kerang bakar and Yong Tau Fu experience, he knows how to treat the me right. I probably fucked up my regular sleeping pattern there. Post-terawih will be either watching movies in the house or roaming around the small town in rempit-style.

That sounds really convincing for me. Arinah works at Zara One Utama and only finish working at 6 PM, on the other hand, Salwa also working in One Utama at Coffee Bean. Hipsters. It was 5.30 PM yesterday and I still in Azri's room doing nothing except finishing the mission of COD - Black Ops. Realizing that I'm gonna be late for the event, I was thissss close to cancel the plan, but hey, how can I do that with these people?

Asked Azri to fetch me to the nearest LRT station and off I go to the last stop on the Kelana Jaya line. Arinah will pick me up there and kidnapping me for the iftar at Taman Tun (Farah Iman is also joining us. yeaa!). Was late behind Maghrib callings and have to berbuka inside the car. Welp, luckily yknow girls will always keep things in handy, Salwa the Mary Poppins came to the rescue by treating us with some Chocolate Fudge and chicken pie from Coffee Bean before proceeding for a big iftar at Santai & Cafe restaurant.

Ordered mouth-watering dishes and here we go, diggin on the foods like there's no tomorrow, glutinously. We had really great time. A good great time. Reminiscing the good old times of PASUM, it never gets old. Lectures to tutorials story. The time that I wished Malil and Ajim are here too, joining the conversation. That would be so much fun and as an added value for this moment.

Sorry for the late updates guys. Some of you may not know that I am on a vacation of a lifetime now! It's quite hectic week last week. I have completed my job and the next day I have to catch my flight outbound for Kuala Lumpur and Penang. By writing this, I safely landed in Penang and currently I'm staying in my friend's house (Ajim). Life made easier when you are traveling with AirAsia.

Celebrating the month of Ramadan Al Mubarak here is not much different compared to yesteryears. I have been away from home in every year during this holy month.

Sooooooo, before Ramadan starts, we went to Bukit Bendera a.k.a Penang Hill. Riding in the new cable car and the hill was like almost 70degrees.Gila man! All of the people inside were like pumped up kicks. Upon arriving at the top station, gazing the breathtaking scenery, we also hiking throughout the hill. Hihi macam budak sekolah rendah aku karang. Today marks my final day of working in a company with full of virtue. 3 months of working really paid off in the end despite the lack of human talents that I offered. 90 days of playing with the abacus all written down here.

The best part;

When your account balance is finally zero and you know that you succeeded in balancing the accounts.
When everything you do here is eating besides working. Because you have free foods everyday!
When you got the job done in accounts and knowing you're good enough in finance.
Checking mails in the morning and you have more than 3 unread emails.
12 P.M and 5 P.M. The most anticipated time everyday.
English is the main language here and Chinese is second. But Malay are widely spoken too. It feels like you are working in Hong Kong environment office.
Preparing for outgoing mails via courier every morning.
You get to know how really the Malaysian economics rolls (Transaction of currency and so on) especially in Labuan.
Your 'vocabs' of world country is widen you know you are dealing with clients from all over the world. Ex: British Virgin Island, Cayman Island. etc
Friday!
When you have a lovely mom cooks for your lunch everyday and don't have to worry about buying foods outside.
Reading article about law & Compliance.
Exercise slots in the morning and in the afternoon.

The worst part;

Waking up in the morning feeling regret for being stupid.
When you got the job done and you got nothing to do except scrolling up and down the financial statement/excel worksheets as if you are busy working.
Checking the emails in the morning and you got less than 3 unread emails and if it's more than 3 but it got nothing to do with you. /Forever Alone/
You're sitting below 2 mad air-conds and you are freezing to death.
It was try and error process. With no basic knowledge in finance or accounts it was tough.
Scanning pages of pages of pages.
You are mistaken for a Chinese guy and every one will talk to you in Hokkien or Mandarin but you don't know how to react because you can barely understand what the hell they're saying.
When DHL people call you about documents cannot be sent due to bad address of clients.
Bad social life and it's like being drained out when you start working.
Sleepy the entire day making your productivity bass-down-low.
Being the youngest and the only 19 years old kid around. /AWKWARD/

It's still a concern for me to share and I do believe Malaysia have the right to speak up but the one thing that I don't really fancy is the "MAIN TARAM" comments. Today, it marks my new journey and will embarking soon. Alhamdulillah all praise to Allah for giving me second chance to prove once more. I am still in the track of planning my own future. Slightly and just a little bit off with the track but it's okay, I managed to control it.

Above all we should really be thankful. Regardless wherever or whatever it is. The main point now is we all are soon-to-be graduates. Furthermore, Malaysia should establishing new IPTA called UTP which stands for University of THINK POSITIVE. All the best in pursuing your studies. Long way ahead!

Oh gosh I'm so nerd talking about H.Potter in previous post. But who cares! Will post more about the Ministry of Magic later and related post of H.Potter influenced story. You mad?

Currently I am being busy to fulfill my needs for some stuff. Weekend is busy with social-related enhancing activity and supplying food to my brains to the library. Again I'm being such a nerd. But somehow everyday I become stupid and dumber-er, even my vocab needs to be widen. So, I need to be smart. Wise person reads a lot.

So that's how I spent my time. Will write about that later too. (Okay now my to-do-post box are filled up). See you guys probably next week. This week is the most awaited week of the year; UPU result is out, futsal game is back and most of important Harry Potter part 2 released. Last night, I celebrated the premiere of Harry Potter last installment in Trafalgar Square with millions of others. Via Youtube was quite exquisite for me. From the arriving of Rupert to the Neville Twins but listening to that idiot commentator talking crap about the movie as if we don't know nothing and him saying "Not bad for a story about a boy wizard." How insanely irritating that is dumbass.

I was like 15% depressed because I was not there to catch the moment and seeing Emma and Jo emotional that I can't believe my childhood is disappearing. Wow exaggerating gila aku.

So the Holy Trinity ; Ron, Hermione and Harry were gathered together on stage with producer (the Davids) and the screen writer, saying messages to each other about how thankful they are to have been given the chance to take part and work together in the filming of the Harry Potter books written by one of the most celebrated authors of today, Jo Rowling, who was also on stage (very long sentence)

Long story short, We are truly lucky to be in this generation. Thanks to J.K. Rowling and to the cast and crew of the Harry Potter films. We have yet to witness the last one. A handkerchief and/or a tissue roll would be a requirement for me, I guess.

Best part of the premiere?

The entire crowd chanting “Snape, Snape, Severus Snape” while Alan Rickman was being interviewed. Epic.

and literally soul connected with Bear watching this together via Youtube while multitasking noted every single quote in Twitter.

Rugby Labuan 10'S + Sufi is in town

A one day tournament. Teams from all over Malaysia competing for the title. Sufi who is my friends from Pasum played under the KL Cobra team. As I promised, I met him during the game. This is his firstime in Labuan. Trying to adjust the time zone, culture and environment. Just for three days. Tomorrow he's leaving back to KL.

"Hidup sini tenang tapi kalau kita mati kutu kot!" - Sufi

Second that, somehow I nodded my head with that statement. Unless you're an offshore workers.

Tadi game ada juga Ladies Rugby. Memang pemain rugby perempuan ni cun-cun eh? Little did I know that they can play rugby too. Tapi emosi lebih. Tarik rambut bagai. Tapi tadi first time tengok perempuan main rugby, it was fun actually. Ahem. Haru la juga.

Sufi (white inner). Budak hayat dulu. Kalau dekat kafe selalu buat study group dengan Geng Kafe and ajar aku organic chemistry bersungguh-sungguh walaupun aku buat blur. Jalan-jalan dengan dia sambil borak-borak. Balik hotel dia, solat jap, sambung balik borak. Lepastu team dia pun main for semi final. Good game.

Bumped with my former english teacher just now during the game. She was a rugby enthusiast sebab husband dia player since they settled in New Zealand years ago. Then, bumped another one with my BM teacher. Just saying hye and before heading back, met Mr Rohit. My former Physics teacher. Borak-borak kejap. Dia sekarang dah jadi lecturer at Kolej Matrikulasi Selangor. Came here just to train the Labuan team.

Received an invitation yesterday to attent Hi Tea party at CoSec department area. Feels excited sebab invitation secara personally from the managers. No idea wujud juga aku dalam department lain. They noticed me!

Makan terus. I thought just another simple snack with some kuih muih kampung atau minum petang. Ni macam kenduri sekampung. Mee goreng, kari ayam, roti jala, cake chocolate everything you name it. Buffet gila.

Aku macam biasa, muka lapar. Second round bawa pinggan yang licin dari first round. Apa-apa pun terima kasih semua. Makanan tadi sedap.

Today, my mum bought me to one of the optic center here. Need to change my optical SOON but not in hurry. It's been 3 - 4 years I'm wearing this type. Tapi dah kena bawa tu, apa lagi.

So, my current type ni brand dia Levis, searching for another Levis optical. Search punya search, aku rasa redundant pula banyak spekmata dia. Need a fresh new brand to try. So dia cadangkan Lee Cooper. Well nope, too country. Tiba-tiba jadi gedik.

After work selalu hidup sosial aku bermula.

Malam tu Glen dengan murah hati belanja makan KFC Variety bucket. Supposely wanted to make BBQ by the beach. Ada port baru geng! But then, anggota tidak mencukupi and we're kind off busy with our own stuff, so postponed to a new date lah.

Sumpah no lies. KFC Labuan ni sedap-sedap. Dari dulu lagi pun sebenarnya. No offense but everytime I checked in at KFC restaurant around KL, satu pun takda ayam yang sihat-sihat macam sini punya. What even bro? Maybe sebab pembekal kita berlainan. Around KL, Ayamas yang bekalkan the healthy chicken. Here, Peladang yang bekalkan if I'm not mistaken. Cikgu aku dulu cakap.

So, saiz ayam mahupun kualiti ayam bukanlah tajuk yang ingin kita bincangkan.

Then, off we back to the beach till late night. Here, I can see the moon. I mean the gerhana bulan phenomenon clearly here. Upon glazing, boraks with 'em boys stuff stories. So, tomorrow Glen's outbound back to Sarawak. Next week my other friends outbound to Johor Bahru. Okay tinggalkan lah aku sorang-sorang sini. Ok bye.

Hari ni kerja aku minta half day masuk kerja. Pagi ada appointment dengan dentist.

Sekejap ja dia buat sebenarnya. Gigi aku berlubang jadi kena tampal lah.

Time tampal dia guna satu mesin ni. Huish, ngilu sial. Lepas abis tu aku ingat freedom.

"Well not, little boy." said the dentist.

Rupanya dia buat satu lagi treatment bersihkan gigi. Time ni habis mulut aku dia bersihkan. Siap bedarah satu mulut. Faak jelah aku rasa.

Sampai sekarang terasa ngilu kena drill guna mesin tu. Tajam-tajam pula tu instrument dia guna.

p/s: Rajin-rajinlah buat rawatan gigi setiap 6 bulan sekali.

Frankly. I complain a lot. Yes a lot. To stupid inefficient transportation system, to non-friendly teenage life as there's no cinema or pimp-up shopping center here in Labuan. No place to hang-out for supper or watching footballs with my friends. Dull, mundane and basically a place for a leisure and just sleep. Probably the best place for retired Malaysian. Darah muda ni susah betul.

But I do not realized that with this lack of enjoyable and duniawi stuff to do that there's something that I can live my life to the fullest without costing too much money. Settle down Syafiq with your fast phase life. You need to calm the F down. Ain't like I'm being narcissistic. But staying here in this Island made me to keep my life very simple. Coincidence or not. I found a book titled "Keeping Life Simple" in my room. Tiba-tiba pula ada atas katil.

Must be my sister wanted me to read this. It really helps ironically. Lots of tips and fun things to do and keeps you motivated even tough you live in a slow phase community. Banyak benda yang boleh kita buat sebenarnya. Favourite aku apa? "Take a moment to make your bed in the morning" & "Take a Sunday afternoon nap" Aku ni pemalas. Paradigm shift on the go.

Yes I moved people. I just moved my workstation sitting in front of my manager and besides to one of the executive in the department. Before this I'm sitting the next to my manager. Lega. Tempat lagi luas.

Wow. It's a been a month and a half since I worked in there. Everyday I woke up and getting ready for work. Believe me, I hate waking up in the morning. Macam satu perjuangan bangun pagi. Jihad pergi ke tandas untuk mandi dan berperang menuju ke tempat kerja. Sumpah malas!

I am able to have good balance between my work and home life.

I feel there is a structural approach to career path and succession planning. Nonetheless, I received necessary training to carry my job and the performance review/appraisal process macam aku buat sekarang ni effectively help me to improve my performance.

The Company

Morale is very high within my area of the company and I'm satisfied that I am treated with fairness and respect at work.

Feels motivated setiap kali duit masuk poket. I'm working hard and growing up. Esok plan ada BBQ lepas kerja. Well, itu buat aku lagi semangat. See you tomorrow!

No post on Sundays! Only the hardcore HP fans who have the first movie memorized will get this. It's Sunday and Uncle Vernon loves Sunday in HP1 because there's no mail. So Harry can't get anymore Hogwarts letters.

Lol nope with me. Last Sunday went to the post office box and checked if there's any mail written my name on it. Still no letters from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry but there's one from an institution that I was under auspices of. University Malaya.

No rush but just panicked until I ripped off some part of it. Well well. I got C- for my Algebra paper and the rest just gred B and above. CGPA bawah 3 tapi semester 2 atas par 3 pointer dah. Fist up for my Physics paper yang dapat 4 flat. It's the only paper yang dapat A.

Tak lawa mana pun result tapi boleh cukup makan bagi aku. Jutaan terima kasih kepada rakan ku Malil Mustafa sebab bawa aku sampai belajar sampai level moksha kat bilik hari-hari. Sumpah kau kawan aku paling bagus gila. Nanti zaman degree aku kena cari someone like you. Move on the next one. Mari kita pandang depan dan jadikan ini sebagai teladan kawan-kawan.

Backpacking Penang.

Mengagahkan diri untuk hapdate blog.

When I was in pasum dulu, I made a pinky promise with Ajim that in this 4 months of break, I will try to visit him in Penang and meet Abang Long (Ciman). Midi dan Ali (Kawan Ajim) pun dah beriya-iya suruh aku mai Penang lagi. That is a promise I made to myself too. Neither did I know that I basically managed to fulfill that. Yes, I'm going on vacation to Penang during the Ramadan month and definitely feel the vibe of fasting month in Penang. Beyond expectation rasanya. Gila habaq hang, makanan semua sedap-sedap dan buka puasa pukul 7.30 petang.

Travel itinerary

After a month working, it really paid off as I can buy myself a flight ticket bound off for Penang via Airasia. Connecting flight from Labuan to Kuala Lumpur and final destination, Penang.Kena stay 2 jam rasanya kat LCCT sebelum tunggu flight. Travelling alone. Backpacking.

Ciman, Ajim & Midi - 3 orang wajib aku ingat sampai mati.

Looking forward to meet them. Member-member KL pun dah ajak kumpul balik. Laila rasanya dah balik dari Aussie, kata nak tunggu Dewi balik Dubai. Zara rasanya memang dekat KL jelah kan. Sarah, Bombay & Syamil pun rasanya tak pergi mana-mana. Itu geng kafe aku. Salwa & Arinah serta Malil bestfriend ku, 3 orang ni pun wajib kena jumpa. Kena gerak Seremban lah lagi kalau ada masa. First and foremost, I big congratulations to my cousin, Farah Waheda for walking down the aisle and united in marriage with Rome. These couples were treated as royalty on their big day - 5th June 2011. I was the only one stranded here home alone while the whole family is celebrating there, Brunei Darussalam.

Tadi pagi antar budak baju pink tu kat Labuan Airport. Bound off for Kuala Lumpur at 7.45 am via MAS. Mengantuknya kena bangun awal pagi. Lepas hantar, tu balik rumah terus aku sambung tidur sekejap & besiap pergi kerja. Hari ni boring. Enuff said.

Comment on venue: Lagi dekat dengan rumah masing-masing. RM30 per hour. Nice lighting. Court besar cuma surface dia guna simen. This was the first time we tried to play here. Selalu main kat court Perbadanan Labuan area bandar situ. Cuma mahal sikit. RM50 per hour. - Reviewed by Haziq.

But the court pun okey apa. Both got pros and cons. We don't get best in both world. Game was nice and I played - even nicer. haha

After play. For the sake of free wifi and non-stop refill water. Hari-hari rasanya lepak sini. McD crew pun rasanya dah kenal muka-muka ni.

Tadi kan,I went rage tengok TV. Putting upfront my hand and pressing down those remote buttons. Layan movie kat HBO pastu Starmovie lepastu AXN. Lepastu layan Mentor. OMG, I can't even.. Entah. Parent is not in town and me is home alone. Friends are also declining and leaving this island for good. Semester break is over. Spending the last weekend with Anip & Ajim before heading back to Bintulu and Kota Kinabalu respectively. Gaahh, why you leave me alone here . Raya baru dapat jumpa balik. Aku emo jap.

Today was so random that we went to Botanical Garden. Chop! When was the last time we went here Ajim? Primary 6! Time tu umur 12 tahun yang rata-rata semua dah akil baligh. Sekarang 19 tahun. Campur, tolak, darab, bahagi, integrate & differentiate, 7 tahun tak pergi taman tu. Padahal just few minutes away from the town center. Roaming inside this garden. Banyak orang buat tai-chi. Dari aku kecil tempat ni tempat tai-chi.

Sekolah rendah aku dengan Ajim memang letak betul-betul depan taman ni. So, selalu latihan sukan masuk taman ni, buat latihan tiap-tiap pagi. Lari jogging, fitness semua lah. That scenery never changed that much. Cuma teringat zaman sekolah rendah. Studied mathematics by the lakes. Sumpah tenang. But it is really a waste that taman ni macam takda maintenance.

Minggu ni entah kenapa, mood malam keluar makan dinner. Try semua restoran dekat Labuan ni walaupun sebelum ni pernah makan situ. Meriah gila kalau member-member datang Labuan, lagipun budak-budak diploma pun cuti. Tambah la meriah hidup.

Plan hari tu makan steambot kat Manja Rasa. Aku, Cak & Biskut bawa kereta awal-awal pergi tempat tu. Rupanya tutup pula, lepak sebentar sebelum geng lain sampai dekat padang Lawn Ball sambil tengok orang-orang kaya main. Entah apa motif game tu. Baling-baling bola haa entah, aku pun taktau. Tukarlah plan pergi makan dekat Mawilla Yatch Club.

Nice, semua pun dah sampai. Order baik punya. Sweet and sour Chicken, sayur, daging, tomyam semua cukup rasalah. Cop! Belum cukup. Seafood tarak! Okay order lah udang RM20 kan entah masak apa. Makan punya makan, waiter pun macam sial sebab ingat budak-budak remaja makan banyak tak boleh bayar. Siap cakap "Takpa, banyak pinggan boleh cuci." Amboi, banyak cantik perempuan ni, aku cuci siap-siap mulut kau dulu.

Habis borak, lepak, cerita-cerita makan, collect-collect money. Pergilah bayarkan dekat kaunter. Kira punya kira, damn overbudget lah pulak! Lari dari jangkauan asal. Budget luarbiasa lupa nak kira. Tapi sokay. Semua chill. Bayar jelah RM185 tu. Keluar restoran. FAKKKKK!! Jangan makan sini lagi.

Berkat doa usaha ikhtiar dan tawakal akhirnya result Asasi UM sudah pun keluar. Alhamdulillah ada peningkatan lah kan tapi segan untuk dikongsi bersama. Tadi baru buat research tentang kos-kos dan opsyen untuk alam Ijazah Sarjana Muda nanti. PASUM group is really helpful , from scholarship and FAQ's , semua boleh bantu punya.

So I tried to create my study path for the next 3 or 4 years depending on what course I should take. I feel the eagerness and enthusiastically can't wait for the upcoming enrollment. Entah, macam rasa nak balas dendam dengan result buruk aku ni.

Update yang pertama. Tinggal 2 lagi talian hayat untuk mengubah nasib hidup dan masa depan yang belum tentu.

I remembered when some hamba Allah ni memang pandang rendah dengan budak-budak Borneo when I first entered my lecture hall. Siap ketawakan dan immitating our accent.

Some of the stupidest question was like. "Kau orang memang pakai cawat pergi jalan-jalan?" and some other stupid yet dumbest question for a Malaysian and especially UM student to ask such question. I don't really bother about them. They managed to get high scores in exams but failed to know their own country. Pergh, bajet semua luar negara. Tanya tempat-tempat luar negara semua tau. Hidup orang-orang Borneo kau persetankan. Sedih bila kita dipandang rendah oleh masyarakat. Bukan semua! Tapi segelintir masyarakat maju yang tidak peka.

Tadi received an e-mail from my colleagues. Rajin pula kan aku buka email, tapi ye la kat ofis tu staff semua guna Microsoft Outlook. That how the system goes. Ada invitation katanya untuk tengok basketball game malam ni and feel free to come silalah datang.

Member-member pula memang kaki basketball semua. NBA enthusiast. Semua pun player sekolah dulu. Dribble, walking, apa benda entah la dorang pro dalam benda-benda gini. Aku memang saja la nak bawa dorang tengok kan. Kalau dekat Barat habis kerja mesti tengok orang bersukan. So ni pun bolehlah kan?

Esok aku off day. So malam ni aku pulun chatting. Rindu katanya. Adeh. Cerita chatting pun nak bagitau satu dunia. Masalahnya best kut cerita dengan dorang. Tak tau nak cerita apa baca jelah cerita aku ni.

Malil & Thaqif ni memang kawan rapat dulu time zaman kampus.Lagi-lagi time final exam. Study siang malam bersengkang mata nak belajar organic chemistry, computer science sampai sanggup pergi McDonald Seksyen 14 P.J lepak study sampai pukul 4 pagi. Itu semua aku buat dengan Thaqif. Malil budak baik, dia selalu lepak duduk bilik study atas meja dia. Aku dan Thaqif selalu datang bilik dia buat kacau. Bawa hiburan seperti laptop dan iPod. Memang ke laut lah study ada benda-benda ni.

Malil ni sebenarnya dah penat rasanya layan aku siang malam tengok perangai aku yang macam-macam. Best moment dengan dia rasanya hari-hari sebab aku hari-hari jumpa dia. Kalau dinner selalu aku makan share dengan dia. Beli 1 jenis lauk pastu 2 nasi kosong. Siap. Bereh hidup bujang. Kalau study dia memang mentor lah. Aku ingat bila dia buat intensive Engineering Maths tutorial ngan aku. Pergh. tegas shit ah.Tapi baru la faham cara buat. Dia ni kawan lecture aku, selalu duduk tepi aku dan kawan cerita apa benda lah. Aku ni suka share masalah sebenarnya. Dulu aku share dengan Ajiq atau Ampal. Tapi sini Malil lah tempat semua - mengadu , ketawa, nangis, gembira, semua lah. Aku rasa dia lali dengan aku so dia tak berapa nak rindu kut. Dia cakap buang beras je.

Thaqif ni jenis sweet and adorable gila. My tutorialmate. Dalam kelas kalau nak cari gentleman cari dia. Cara dia cakap pun macam kasanova juga. Pergh muka budak baik sial tapi perangai fuhh budak nakal. Siang dia selalu bangun pukul 12, kerja aku bangunkan dia setiap pagi pegi bilik dia. Dia ni tak boleh harap nak bangun sangat. Nanti "Hello World" pukul 1 tengah hari.Malam-malam selalu lepak dengan dia makan Nasi Lemak P.J naik kereta kancil Kauca. Tengah study-study. "Takep, laparlah!" Terus vroom keluar 2,3 pagi makan kat luar isi perut. Balik kolej mata mengantuk layan lagu Katy Perry E.T sambil pasang super bass. Lepas subuh baru tidur. Good times kan? Dinner selalu dia turun tapi share makan dengan aku sebab dia aku tak habis makan.

Kerja satu hari memang penat. Penat bukan sebab banyak kerja. But the work is a bit of mundane to me. Financial biz is not my type but at least I tried something new. Just 2 weeks working there and I learned a lot of things in corporate business, private clients, fiduciary and trust asset.

I remember, I remember when I lost my mind. There was something so pleasant about that place. Even your emotions have an echo in so much space.

All of a sudden, i miss my high school moments. My friends are tagging my photos back from my innocent years of being a senior high school. Seeing those pictures I found that difficult to comment because I have so many things to say. Muka memang nooob shit habis. Lepastu pakai baju tuck-in sebab takut kena demerit. Pakai uniform sekolah dengan necktie dan seluar hijau. Setiap hari Rabu pula pakai pakaian seragam PBSM dan hari Jumaat pakai Baju Melayu dan samping rasmi sekolah.

Dulu aku kat sekolah memang macam unknown person sebab aku pun masuk sekolah ni time form 4. Ye lah budak baru malas nak cari pasal. Kalau boleh jadi invisible and pretend that I was not schooling there. Masuk sekolah baru, jumpa classmates baru, dormate baru dan kawan baru. Asrama first time jejak sumpah macam rasa dekat resort terbiar. Sekolah depan pantai tapi bangunan lama. Tapi sumpah aku tak komplen pun dengan keadaan asrama sebab aku tak expect asrama bersih macam hotel.

So, jumpa classmate baru yang daftar sama-sama untuk masuk ke sekolah asing bagi aku. Sekolah SBP, mesti banyak lagi budak pandai-pandai. Sebab dulu aku sekolah luar, sekolah SBP memang jadi perbualan ramai. In bad view and good view. Classmate mostly aku dah kenal sebab dulu pun diorang ni classmates aku juga. Cuma kawan-kawan baru yang datang dari tanah besar Sabah. Intake aku time tu hanya 15 orang. Banding dengan bahagian semenanjung, aku dengar intake nak dekat 40 orang. Sorry, budaya institusi pendidikan kita berbeza.

Dorm dulu aku diletakkan dalam rumah Bendahara (rumah kuning). Walhal, aku diletakkan dalam sistem rumah Panglima (rumah merah). Aku pun tak kesah sebenarnya. Pihak sekolah maybe sebenarnya nak senangkan semua budak-budak form 4 baru dalam satu dorm.

Honestly, susah betul nak adopt dengan persekitaran baru kat sini. Rivalry dengan budak form 4 lama memang jelas setiap kali exam. Kalau tengok Top 10 mesti ada budak form 4 baru yang listed. Sadly aku tak. Aku tak pandai pun sebenarnya. Cukup Top 20 jelah. Kalau dalam kelas I don't know why but teachers suka sangat banding-banding kelas aku dengan kelas paling atas - Sarjana. Semangat juga dengar cakap cikgu tu nak lawan dengan kelas paling atas. Orang cakap healthy competition.

Satu dorm dengan budak sama umur memang best. Semua satu kepala tapi bila sampai nak buat duty rooster. Pergh jangan harap lah semua nak jalankan tanggungjawab. Susah sebenarnya nak mengarah budak sama umur. Tengok dorm lain ada junior yang tolong kemaskan. Dorm aku tak. Kat asrama dulu setiap Sabtu ada inspection dorm. Kira nak tengok dorm mana yang bersih ceria dan kemas. Dorm aku selalu juga score markah tinggi-tinggi tapi taklah cantik mana pun.

Zaman form 4 ni, aku jarang nak get into the new friends. Entahlah, I don't feel I was welcomed that time. Study aku pun belum stabil lagi. Adopting to the new environment. Strict rules and regulations. Masa pack and berjadual. Sumpah aku tak boleh ikut jadual. Rules dia pun aku tak boleh follow. Entah apa-apa nak tuck-in baju, berkolar pula tu!. Surau aku on and off. Subuh jarang sangat tengok muka aku dalam surau.

Then came the second year of schooling here and it's my final here in this institution. Probably it's one of my best year so far. Alhamdulillah, I managed to get into the top class - Sarjana. Bukan nak riak tapi it's surely boosting my confident to study with the best people around. Baru dapat get to know each other. Well my friend, that was not so bad.

Dalam kelas selalu aku duduk depan. I was diligent gila that time. In school hours I tried to focus on all the subjects tapi sampai prep petang atau prep malam jarang aku boleh study. Mostly duduk lepak bahagian belakang lepastu buka warung kopi. Lalu warden and my acting starts to role. Pura-pura belek buku and showing the most pure face ever. But when it comes to additional mathematics. 10 minutes or so kelas start aku dah masuk tidur. Jarang sangatlah nak focus addmaths sebab dah tanam awal-awal addmaths ni susah tapi bila study time pasum ni aku rasa senang pula. fuck.

Cerita dorm pula, aku kekal dengan rumah Bendahara walhal still hati rumah Panglima. "Dorm campur" katanya pihak sekolah. Aku tak kesah lagi sebenarnya. Sebab dapat dormate pun best-best. Time ni aku kena sumbanglah sikit-sikit untuk aras Panglima aku. Jadi Penolong Ketua Tandas pun jadilah. Aku team up dengan Jaya dalam nak ceriakan tandas Panglima. Bersihkan bukan kerja aku, itu kerja budak form 1. Setahun tu aku rasa Panglima pegang takhta tandas terbersih.

Time-time nak dekat SPM tu, guru-guru banyak buat benda berinovasi nak senangkan pelajar dia. So, time tu aku kena pilih jadi mentor Biology and Physics. So kira aku kena bantu 4 - 5 orang kawan aku lain untuk study subject ni. Aku pun bukan pandai sangat nak terangkan tapi aku bantu setakat mana yang mampu.

Lepastu program Perfect Score SBP pun dah nak start. Aku terpilih dalam program tu dalam subject Physics. Last minute cancel pula program sebab time tu SM Sains Kucing diserang H1N1. Tapi bagus juga dengan pembatalan program ni budget yang disalurkan untuk kami ditukar oleh pihak sekolah kepada tabung kewangan batch kami. Pihak sekolah jemput semua guru cemerlang satu Malaysia bagi ceramah dan photostat tons and tons of drilling question papers. Muntah jawab.

Susah-senang semua aku lalui. Dulu Labuan ni ada masalah dengan air. Sebelum Subuh dah gerak panjat makmal sekolah mandi sebab dekat situ jelah bahagian yang ada air. Takpun mandi dekat padang sekolah sejuk-sejuk. Petang-petang aku selalu main bola tampar. Sampai lebam jugalah tampar bola tu. Takpun main futsal dengan member-member. Tapi aku trauma sekali Azrie sepak bola kena muka berdarah injured aku. So malaslah nak main lagi time tu.

Kalau nak cerita satu-satu kisah sekolah asrama ni memang tak habislah satu malam. I believed so dengan kawan-kawan aku yang lain. Mesti kisah korang lagi best kan? High school moments memang best. Tapi what's good kita kena terus pandang depan dan jangan sangat pandang kejayaan kita yang lepas. Sekejap kita atas sekejap kita kat bawah. It's been a great years with these amazing people of my school SM Sains Labuan. Walau bukan bukan listed sebagai sekolah terbaik mahupun mencapai pelbagai anugerah, tapi this institution taught me one valuable thing which is LIFE. *blurgh geli aku* haha

I wake up this morning with a very delightful morning call. It's from the Equity Trust Labuan and are very interested to take me in their internship programme. Wow, I was partially woke up that time and answered the phone call pun macam mau tak mau. She asked me when I'm interested to start working. May it is! Confidently said. The financial reward may not be that much. This type of interns pun baru lepas foundation. So yeah, it's official that I will be working at with the World Leading Trust Company.

Today I promised with some of my friends nak round satu Labuan temankan cari kerja. Kasy just got back from Australia and he picked me up at home early this morning. How come Kasy kau boleh sesat pergi rumah aku? You've been here dulu kan? Okey lawak. So it's another random Wednesday for us yet exciting. Too much story to share with some of my old friends here.

Frankly said Labuan is just like a slowpoke in urbanization and development. But I love this phase, please keep Labuan as a simple island to live in.

Well, hello hello Miss Arinah Aziz welcome to the twitter family and officially BB-ied sebab dia baru beli Blackberry. Actually this night they literally made me laugh sebab we was reminiscing again the old good times. Again.

Today went as usual. Woke up at 3 pm. Yes, clap for the heavyweight champ, me!. That was unusual though. I don't know why I am so tired today. Tak buat kerja apa pun. Duduk rumah. Makan, tidur, online, tidur, makan, tengok movie. Takkan 5 bulan aku nak teruskan proses ni? This has to be end somehow.

I applied for a job in a trust company and already sent my resume to the director. He replied "Thank you, the company will contact you later. Regards" Is that a sign of hope? If so, I will be so excited to be in the team in your trust company. Just for 3 months though. Because by end of July, I will be on vacation to Penang again to meet my friends there and busy preparing for my degree. Hope the plan works!

Then , I went to enter my childhood again and watched the first one for fourth time I guess but for the heck of striking out my boredomness. See! I made myself useful today.

Being so random today that I want to go to this place badly. Disneyland maybe the perfect choice but try to be minimal. Coney Island is the place we should go. This is a promise that I would make that I will get my foot on that roller coaster with some cotton candy and and and and A FLUFFY UNICORN. Get it? from the Despicable Me? -,-

Labuan Water Festival

This time the Labuan Water Festival macam Coechella Music Festival pula. Orang semua duduk-duduk kat padang tengok dari jauh live performance that night and the stage was by the beach. Well that's look legit. I wasn't paying attention to the performance though there was my big hearttrob Stacy was live performing. Tengok dia pun at the final part sebab depan tu dah kosong. Make move people!.

This year Labuan Water Festival tahun was not big as past years event. So. tak kesah pun sebenarnya. At least I enjoyed the night with my buddies. The best part was the fireworks display. Fireworks by the beach is superbly epic. This is my first time to watch fireworks that close and that big! Tengah syok lepak tepi pantai lepastu ada bunga api depan mata. Sumpah best.

First time dapat tau masuk kelas group A2. "Huish, pandai juga aku english eh?" Then buka wall pasum cari friends yang dapat group yang sama. The first 2 person yang aku add ialah Hazerah & Bunga. Then when I saw my group list. I search for the IC number. Manatau ada budak Sabah satu kelas dengan aku. I'm socially awkward that time. I'm cold towards new friends. I don't talk and I pretended not to be there at that time. Luckily ada kawan from the Borneo region with me in the class. - Marelyn and Jonathan.

First day of class was really awkward. I remembered I sat beside Hazman (Now further studying for Australian matriculation) and the only friend that I talked to is Aladin (Now in MAS Engineering training centre). Then came the "introduction" part which I hate the most. Probably I would just say "Add me in facebook and follow me on twitter" . But that was mentally retarded to say that to new people. One by one stood up and mostly SPM dapat 9A's above. What the hell? Pandai-pandai gila classmates aku.

I framed it.

Months past by sebab aku malas nak cerita satu-satu.Yela, budak A2 yang duduk belakang time kelas memang pemalas pun. Tutorial main sebat tiru orang tapi konon nak compare jawapan. "Eh, you dah siap tutorial algebra? Nak pinjam boleh? I nak compare jawapan I sebab takut salah"- Banyaklah nak compare kau. Last- last tiru juga sebab soalan malas buat.

Kadang-kadang tak buat tutorial pun. Siap photostat jawapan kawan lepastu bawa masuk pegi kelas konon buat sendiri. Like a boss. Kecuali kelas chemistry sebab tutorial tu kena hantar. Ada sekali kitorang kantoi tiru meniru sampai kertas aku kena mark " Copy from Norshahrin & Arinah "

The best part of my class was selalu datang lambat. Selalu tak pegi kelas pun boleh. Muka-muka macam Bunga & Bear mesti masuk kelas lambat punya. Setengah jam lewat itu perkara biasa. Masuk muka basi tu memang tak boleh lari dah.

Jump to the conclusion. Met awesome people, awesome class rep, awesome friends, awesome tutors, awesome lecturers. Awesome moment is hard to let it go. Flashback that follows hurts the most and I'm still reminiscing the good old times with them. Aahh, the good moments... good moments :')

Semalam touch down at Labuan airport terus my friend called bawa pergi BBQ kat Taman Damai. Had my lunch first, bersiap-siap semua and terus jemput aku dari rumah. Endless awesomeness.

So I went to join my friends from matriculation. Last paper hari ni katanya, tapi dah buat celebration awal-awal. Tak mau kalah la tu dengan aku. hahaha. Sedap juga BBQ dorang ni. Makan free biasalah, semua sedap.

It's been a long time that I didn't walk by the shore with crystal clear water. Best juga layan perasaan sambil kaki ditendang-tendang ombak. Dipukul-pukul? Apa-apa jelah kata kerja yang sesuai untuk ombak.

Mak aku cakap "Kau ni tak reti duduk diam?"

I probably said it was a homicide for not giving my body a rest.

This is one of the final days I spent with ma homies there. Arinah invited us to her house untuk buat BBQ sikit-sikit. Aku petang tu keluar dengan band member jalan-jalan around One Utama cari music store. Then malam tu one off straight to her house at Damansara. I thought I have to bakar-bakar and kipas-kipas all the chicken wings and sausages, rupanya maid Arinah dah siapkan awal-awal. Well, that was BBQ-less.


Arinah bajet je BBQ sausage ni.

Everything was ready. Mash potatoes, drinks, sausages and chicken wings. Then Arinah's dad came down. "Wait there's no carbohydate here. Go buy Domino's" Each of us punya mata bersinar-sinar. More foods!

Then Salwa wanted to play Basketball at the park. Malil seorang jelah rajin layan budak kecil tu. Habis-habis gaduh dua orang ni. But still that was cute. Sebab lepas ni takda dah orang nak cari pasal lagi.

Then after that, dah almost midnight and we played UNO. OKAY FINE AKU NOOB GILA MAIN BENDA-BENDA NI SEMUA. OKEY MALU, KITA CERITA BENDA LAIN. OH WAIT, LOOK BEHIND YOU!?

Did I just jumped the topic? Yes I did. Thank You Arinah for throwing this party. Nak cakap apa lagi kalau bukan awesome kan? Terima kasih semua sebab datang Salwa, Arip, Ajim, Nik, Fatin. Goodbye organic chemistry. You've been a real pain to work with and I almost killed by you in the exam hall.

Studying here gets hard when you encountered organic chemistry which you have to know more than fukken 50 reactions and it's reactivity,naming,structural. Oh lord.

But still, Do-able for me to answer the questions.

Can't wait for the last paper tomorrow (technically). Giving all the best for Physics 4.
